Is there order in the universe?

Is there order in the universe?

"For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through him and for him." Colossians 1:16

Do we live in a completely disordered universe? Is there some kind of universal law? Are we left to chance? In many situations, there seems to be a certain order in the universe. The universe operates according to physical laws such as gravity and electromagnetism. A scientist, when studying the universe, seeks order, tries to find patterns. This is why they created the so-called theory of intelligent design. This theory seeks to explain that there is an intelligent mind behind everything.

After all, if there is a certain order, there must be an orderer. It is based on the teleological argument. This argument posits that, just as one cannot find a clock on the street and say it appeared spontaneously, but rather that it is the work of a watchmaker, one cannot observe the entire complexity of the universe and say that there is no creative mind behind it.

The argument of intelligent design theory is quite interesting and plausible, however, it faces difficulties in being accepted in scientific circles due to the scientific methodological naturalism (a methodology that works only with natural explanations) present within them. However, nothing prevents us from recognizing its reasonableness in our personal lives and in Philosophy. For those who enjoy studying the Bible, it is known that this intelligent mind is Christ Jesus.
