Crisis In Traditional Religion
"Then faiths comes from hearing, and hearing from the world of Christ" Rom 10:17
When I deal with traditional religion, I deal with organized Christian religion guided by the Bible and orthodoxy. And this, unfortunately, is experiencing a crisis in some parts of the world.
Europe had many powerful reformers and preachers. Reformers and great preachers sucesso as John Wesley, Charles Finney and Charles Spurgeon worked there.
Simply in short historical periods thousands of people converted to Christ Jesus in Europe through these preachers. God renewed the faith of many people and transformed hearts.
Today, in a region christian was once majority of the population there declares themselves atheist. The gospel has grown a lot in China and Japan.
In Brazil, the mojority of the population is Christian. On sunday, pentecostal churches are full and even the Catholic Church is full. Yet, paradoxically, the problem has been the "uncherched". People who believe in Jesus at the Bible, but no longer want to attend templos due to some trauma they experienced in church. They grow more and more.
In Europe the solution involves exposição the Bible. They need content that exposes the Bible to them. Remember that faith comes from hearing the word of God. Here on my blog I receive visits frow europeans. A sign that there is Still hope there.
In Brazil, the solution seems to be a reflection on how we deal with people in the church. There is a need for more humane treatment if everyone regardless of gender, age, financial conditional, ethnicity, region of birth and physical appeaeance. People's complaints must at least be heard, even if they cannot or should not always be met.
There are those who don't like to do this type of reflection is not done, the number of "uncherched" will increase more and more. Today is the time to pray for a healthier chuch and to make a difference in this world.
