What Are Anxiety Attacks?

What Are Anxiety Attacks?

Philippians 4:6-9 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."

An anxiety attack is a sudden situation of fear and discomfort caused by some undesirable factor (such as a moment of anger or tension) that is characterized by the manifestation of symptoms such as: shortness of breath, dizziness, loss of movement in the arms and/or legs, feeling like you are going to die at any moment, heart palpitations, difficulty staying in completely closed environments, among other symptoms.

Generally, people with illnesses such as Anxiety Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, and others experience anxiety attacks. If you are going through this situation, there are some tips that can help you. When you are experiencing an anxiety attack, try to breathe better by going to a more ventilated place or even to the street near your home, drink water, listen to some music for anxiety that is available on YouTube (they have an effect on the brain proven by Neuroscience) and, if you do not feel better, go to a hospital to receive medication.

These symptoms manifest due to the accumulation of two substances in the body (adrenaline and cortisol). The brain of an anxious person produces too much of these substances. These substances are what cause these sensations and symptoms.

There are people who start to have these attacks frequently. This can make it difficult for the person to have a normal life. Imagine living without breathing almost all the time? In these cases, it is necessary to seek a doctor and a psychologist. With treatment, it is possible to have a better life. In the Holy Bible, Jesus mentioned normal anxiety. This is the kind that all people feel in everyday situations. It is treated with prayer and Bible reading. There is also pathological anxiety that we have no control over. This is treated with these same elements combined with medical and psychological treatment.
