1 Peter 3:15 ''But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give a defense to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that is in you.''

Apologetics is the argumentative defense of the Christian faith. It is not about getting involved in unnecessary conflicts, but rather developing answers to doubts and questions. As for the methodology, there are two: evidentialist and presuppositional.

The evidentialist places evidence as the basis of the Christian faith. For the evidentialist, proof and evidence are the main pillars of a rational faith. The presuppositionalist, on the other hand, places the testimony of the Holy Spirit as the main means of sustaining belief. Evidence comes later as a mere complement to what the Holy Spirit has already testified in the person's heart.

In my opinion, the two methods are complementary. When we evangelize a person, there is no way to convert or change them without the action of the Holy Spirit. He is the one who does the work, but we and our arguments are instruments of God. We need to prepare ourselves to preach and evangelize in general. At this point, evidence gains significant importance.
