Materialism and Supernaturalism

"But as it is written: 'What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived'—the things God has prepared for those who love him." 1 Corinthians 2:9
Materialism is a philosophical school of thought that argues that everything that exists is the physical plane, that is, what we see, hear, feel, and touch. Many philosophers defended this point of view, such as Democritus, Epicurus, Thomas Hobbes, Karl Marx, and Engels.
Supernaturalism is the school of thought that accepts the existence, or at least the possibility, of angels, demons, the soul, God, heaven, hell, etc. Among the thinkers of supernaturalism are Plato, Plotinus, Aquinas, René Descartes, and Arthur Schopenhauer. The main argument is that there is no way to prove that everything that exists is what we see or feel. It is necessary to accept at least the possibility of the supernatural.
The Holy Bible leads us to think about and believe in the supernatural. Paul says that if our hope is only in the things of this world, we are the most miserable people in the world (1 Corinthians 15:9). He also says that what no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human heart has conceived—what God has prepared for us all (1 Corinthians 2:9). Supernaturalism seems to be the best path.
