Did Jesus see himself as God?

Did Jesus see himself as God?

"Simon Peter answered, 'You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.' Jesus replied, 'Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah! For this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.'" Matthew 16:16-18

The Bible says that people saw Jesus in different ways. Some saw him as a prophet, others as a new Elijah, some as a teacher of Judaism, and today some also see him as a philosopher. But how did Jesus see himself? Did he see himself as a creature? As an angel? As a teacher of the scriptures? In one of his parables, he speaks about this. See:

"Then he sent other servants, more than the first time, and they treated them likewise. 37 Finally, he sent his son to them, saying, 'They will respect my son.'" 38 But the tenants, seeing the son, said to one another, ‘This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and seize his inheritance.’ 39 And they seized him and dragged him out of the vineyard and killed him.” Matthew 21:36-39

This parable tells the story of a man who had planted a vineyard and then sent his servants to harvest the fruit, but the tenants killed them all to keep the fruit for themselves. And finally, he sent his son, who was also killed by the tenants, so that they might inherit his estate. Clearly, in this verse, the owner of the vineyard represents God, the tenants represent people dominated by evil, the servants represent the prophets, and the son represents Jesus, who is the Son of God.

Therefore, Jesus did see himself as the Son of God. This passage is accepted even by militant atheists of the Jesus Seminar. Peter, in Matthew 16:16, declares that Jesus was the Son of God, and Jesus says that it was God who had revealed this to him. This passage in the Bible confirms the thesis that Jesus was God.
